Cannabutter

Ingredients:
1 stick butter
3.5 – 4 finely ground cannabis
2 cups water

Place the water in a small pot on medium-high heat on the stove. Add the stick of butter. Once the butter melts lower the heat to low, or until the water is simmering. Add the cannabis and stir often for 25 – 40 minutes.

Turn the heat off and pour the contents in another container while straining the cannabis with a cheesecloth. Squeeze the cheesecloth firmly to get as much liquid as possible. Place the new container in the refrigerator. The butter will float to the top and solidify. Once the butter has congealed, using a large utensil, scoop the butter off the water and place in a safe container. Refrigerate until used. The butter should have a green tinge from the cannabis.

You now have potent cannabutter. One stick of butter has 4 ounces. Therefore each ounce of cannabutter has the potency of about 1 g of the cannabis used. Consume the same amount of cannabutter equivalent to the amount of cannabis you would normally consume.

You can add the cannabutter to any dish that requires butter, or just enjoy on toast with jam.

Pot Brownies

THC, the psychoactive chemical in cannabis, can be consumed in other ways than just smoking.
The most famous way is eating “pot brownies”. THC is very soluable in alcohol and fat, but not in water.

To make pot brownies, buy a simple premade box of brownies from the store such as Duncan Heinz.
Follow the recipe according to the back of the box. Before adding the oil, break up your cannabis as finely as
possible and mix with it oil in a seperate container. 3.5 g – 7 g of cannabis is enough for 4 – 9 depending on the quality of your product.

There are two ways to of mixing the cannabis with the oil.

The easy way is to simply stir the oil and broken cannabis so the THC will begin to bind to the oil. Add the oil and cannabis mixture to your batter and finish the brownies according to the box. This method is very easy, but by leaving the plant matter in the batter, the taste and texture are lacking.

A more advanced method is to set up a double boiler pot, or very carefully in a regular pot heat your oil and cannabis mixture for at least 30 minutes, stirring often. A double boiler pot is a pot of water boiling, with a second smaller pot in the water. Make sure there is no burning, as the THC may evaporate into the air, or just be destroyed. After 30 minutes to 1 hour, the oil should start turning a slight green. By this time, most or all the THC has transfered from the plant matter to the oil. Drain the plant matter with a cheese clothe and squeeze it to get as much precious oil
out. Discard the used plant matter as now it is useless. Add the oil to the brownie batter and finish according
to the box.

This method requires more work, but by discarding the plant matter before cooking,
there is little or no unappealing “green flavor”, or bits and pieces ruining your chewy bite.

Peanut Butter Chronic Crackers

Sometimes the consumer may not have the time or ability to make an elaborate recipe with cannabis. This recipe is for that person.

Ingredients: 2 Ritz crackers
1 – 2 Tbs Peanut butter
.5 – 1 g cannabis ground fine
Aluminum foil

In a small bowl mix the peanut butter with the cannabis. Spread the peanut butter on the crackers to create a peanut butter cracker sandwich. Wrap the cracker sandwich in foil and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour at 325 degrees F. Heating the sandwich activates the THC and helps it transfer into the peanut oil.

This is great when you are short on time and need to just pop some cannabis in your mouth. The taste may be lacking, but the effects are excellent. This is a great alternative to smoking cannabis.

Marijuana Guacamole

Ingredients

7-14 grams ground cannabis

3 avocados,  skin and pit removed, then mashed

1 tomatoes, destemmed, deseeded, and diced

1/2 red onion, diced fine

1 tablespoon vinegar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon kosher salt

2 teaspoons black pepper

1 teaspoons garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/4 cup taco sauce

2 tablespoons salsa or taco sauce

1 tablespoon mayonnaise

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until consistent. Store for up to 5 days.

Green Dragon

Ingredients:
750 ml bottle of vodka or rum
1 oz (28 g) of ground cannabis

Simply add the cannabis to the bottle of alcohol. Shake. Store the bottle in a cool, dark, safe place for at least 3 weeks. The THC will transfer to the alcohol. One traditional shot glass of green dragon is about one ounce; therefore one shot has the potency of one gram of cannabis. Consume with care as you are drinking alcohol and potent cannabis at the same time.
